LOBBY OHIO STATE LEGISLATORS FOR MOVE TO AMEND

Join Move to Amenders from across the state to lobby your state legislators to legalize democracy! If you can't travel to Columbus, you can call them.

Resolutions calling on Congress to pass a 28th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution to end corporate constitutional rights (“corporate personhood” for short) and money spent in elections defined as First Amendment-protected “free speech” will soon be introduced in the Ohio Senate and House. State Senator Nickie Antonio and State Representative Mike Skindell are the main sponsors.

JOIN US ON MOVE TO AMEND LOBBY DAY -- TUESDAY APRIL 30

Help lobby your and other state legislators to co-sponsor the MTA Resolutions

We will be meeting in the Rotunda of the Statehouse at 11:45 on Tuesday, April 30. There will be a short press conference, and then we will gather in the Minority Conference Room to get our lobbying assignments. Appointments for the afternoon will be made for you and packets for the legislators will be ready. If you’re not familiar with lobbying, don’t worry, you will be paired with someone who is.

We want to gain as many co-sponsors of the Resolutions as possible on April 30 before they are formally introduced by Senator Antonio and Representative Skindell in early May.

Can you join us in Columbus to meet with your legislators?

Deadline to register is Monday, April 22.

Can’t come to Columbus? Call your senator and representative on Tuesday, April 30. Let them know you want them to sign on to co-sponsor the legislation to Abolish Corporate Personhood.

Do you need to look up your representative?
